Karachi: Pakistani cricket board said that the insulated Covid-19 case would not lead to delays or cancellations from every series of houses in the future because cricket has now learned to live a bloody life with the feared virus.
PCB Chairman Ramiz King said they have now begun to have an agreement with a sustainable manner that has isolated Covid cases may not lead to whatever series is postponed or canceled.
The former test captain said the PCB agreed to delay the ODI series recently against West Indies because the visit faced unusual situations with eight to nine players and supported testing of positive staff.
“Playing international cricket in the Covid-19 situation is now a reality and if there are some cases among players or officials since the fast daily test now becomes part of the Bio Secure protocol, it won’t interfere with any series,” he said.
“They (West Indies players) apparently took tension while flying to Pakistan but because they lacked the player and the power we decided with the West Indies board to reschedule until June next year,” he said.
Ramiz said West Indies also agreed to return to come in 2022 to play the ODI series with a full side of strength because they were part of the ICC World Cup qualifier but they will also visit Pakistan before PSL 2023 to play three T20.

The PCB chairman supports the idea of traveling around having additional players because in Covid-19 times someone can test positively.
He agreed that the postponement of PSL in Karachi was earlier this year because the Covid-19 case was not good for Pakistani crickets and putting aside PCB’s chances now to have a PSL or a home match elsewhere.
“We have learned it is much more expensive and difficult for us to manage the event series elsewhere in Covid times with different limits.” He did not agree that the Bio Secure protocol might need to be tightened in Pakistan for international matches or PSL and said the council followed the same blueprint held in another cricket playing countries to coexist with a pandemic.
He said to be careful and set up a PCB will hire a full hotel for PSL 7 and will order 70-80 rooms so as to reduce the chances of players or officials testing positive tournaments.
He also said that Pakistan had started preparations to host the Asian Cup in 2023 and trophy champions in 2025 and saw no reason for Pakistan’s tour for this program.
