Vadodara: The city streets are crowded with procession on Thursday night because Ganesh’s idols are brought to thousands of pandals in the city.
Although many procession accompanied by DJ music, not all committee has the right police permission.
“We have asked permission from the police after the state government announced that the DJ will be permitted in the process.
But the City Police Department did not provide clarity until Thursday afternoon.
I went to meet a senior police officer along with many Ganesh Pandal Organizers,” said Swirl Vyas who had formed An organization of Satyamev Jayate with the Pandal Committee.
“Police said that they had sent emails to all police stations but most of the Pandal organizers did not understand because they were not given permission by the police until Thursday morning,” Vias claims.
He added that many committees pandal issued a process with DJs even though they did not have permission.
“We only want the right clarity about this problem because the organizers will be a problem if they bring DJs along with procession without police permission,” he added.
