Chatra: Anticipating the surge in omicron variants of Coronavirus, Administration Chatra has prepared 515 Covid-19 beds and has asked doctors, paramedic staff, and other health workers to remain vigilant while on duty.
Of the total number of beds, 119 which was supported by oxygen, 25 was an ICU bed while 20 beds had been provided for the pediatric ICU case.
A total of 17 ventilators are also available, health officials said.
In addition, health workers have been directed to autoculate between 2,000 and 3,000 people every day in an effort to increase the amount of vaccination.
District Epidemic Ashutosh Kumar said: “All health facilities available in the district are considered to handle serious situations and increase as needed.
Those who come from abroad are placed in a mandatory house quarantine for a week and placed through the RT-PCR test.” He added that Oxygen plants have been prepared at Chatra Sadar Hospital and Government Hospital in Text and Huntergunj.
Kumar said they also traced them from other countries as precautions to identify infected, if any.
Even the 24/7 control room also began working in the district with judges stated in three shifts to attend calls.
