New Delhi: Minister of Domestic Work and Cooperation Amit Shah said on Friday that India is likely to be the fastest growing economy in the world in the current financial year.
“We reached the pre-covid level.

I will not be surprised if we touch two digit growth , “Shah said while overcoming the annual Convention of FICCI & the 94th Annual General Meeting.
Shah said from 22 economic parameters, India has exceeded 19 parameters, and this shows that the country came out of the crisis.
“The manufacturing and service sector index has reached pre-covid levels.
With the announcement of various packages and relief, our inflation is in the range of 4-6 percent targeted as stipulated by the government,” he added.
Highlighting the potential of the MSME sector, Shah said that until then “we encourage and strengthen this sector, we cannot overcome the problem of unemployment in county”.
He also emphasized the need to spend more in the R & D sector Amrti Mahostav.
The time has come to FICCI to advance and increase its role in India’s growth along with exploring the field of new opportunities, he noted.
He further emphasizes the need for FICCI to identify, collaborate and prepare potential sector road maps for the next 25 years when India will celebrate 100-year independence.
The vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat can be achieved when organizations such as FICCI forward and work with the government about various policies and preparing roadmaps to improve the Indian economy in the next 25 years, he added.
Uday Shankar, President, FICCI said that the government’s final development initiative transformed India and every step was to bring us closer to Atmanirbhar Bharat.
