New Delhi: The number of Indians who became foreign nationals in just nine months between January and September 2021 were 25 times the foreigners who became Indian citizens in five years.
Separate data from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Interior Ministry (MHA) shows that while more than 1.1 Indians Lakh left their citizenship for another country in the first nine months of 2021, India provided citizenship to 4,177 foreigners in Indonesia five Year between January 2016 and December 2020.

And, even if all of this is given citizenship – it is impossible to occur in the number of applications agreed in each of the last five years – Foreigners who become Indians will only be 14,815.

Also, from 10,635 applications delayed by MHA in December 2021, 7,306 came from Pakistan, followed by 1,152 from Afghanistan and 428 were people without citizenship.
Those who from Sri Lanka and the US also managed to reach the top five.
