New Delhi: Another clash was reported from Jail Tihar on Saturday.
Two undistrial prisoners attacked each other with sharp objects and one of them received several injuries.
The case has been registered in this matter.
A prison official said the investigation revealed that sharp objects were made of equipment.
The condition of one of the prisoners brought to the hospital for stable care.
“The two underage detainees were involved in several cases of criminal and arrested many times before.
We suspect hostility and personal dominance as an excuse behind the fight,” the next official said.
A Delhi police officer said they received information on Saturday that arrested amarah prisoners were seriously injured, Shamim, was hospitalized.
Further investigation in this case revealed that he was stabbed by other prisoners named Pramod, who suffered a minor injury.
“On Monday, we recorded Shamim’s statements and cases under Section 307 from the Indian criminal code registered,” the officer said.
Tihar officials claimed that to curb such incidents, they regularly carried out raids in cells and restored the items that were prohibited.
“About 7,000 CCTV cameras have been installed to oversee the activities of detainees,” officially added.
This was the fifth incident reported from Jail Tihar in about a month.
On September 11, two inmates were injured in clashes.
The next day, Vikas Dhull was attacked by other inmates Vikas Chopra by using the surgical bar.
On September 13, a 28-year-old underdial detention was attacked by other inmates.
