Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Chalo Sakha Us des Mein’ by Rajula Shah received award for the best long documentary at the 13th International Film Festival and the Kerala short film festival which concluded here on Tuesday.
This award brings RS 2 lakh cash prizes and certificates.
The last person directed by Dakxinkumar Bajrange won the award for the second best documentary.
‘Ana’s testimony’ directed by Sachin Dheeraj Mudigonda won the award for the best short documentary.
‘Maattivacha Pangu’ (a stock was eliminated) directed by Manoj Muralius and Hindi film ‘Ruuposh’ (Wrapper) sharing awards for the second best short documentary film.
Nikhil S Praveen won the Navroze Contractor award for the best documentary cinemarnography for the film ‘eyes at their fingers’ and for film offers for Bengal, Rituparna Saha accepts Kumar Talkies editing to edit Kumar.
‘Calculabai’ directed by Yudhajit Basu received special attention in a short documentary.
‘Ghar ka pata’ (home address) and ‘oak tha gaon’ (once in a village) received special attention in the 13th long documentary of the IDSFFF edition concluded here on Tuesday.
About 220 films and videos in 19 categories of discraning at the festival.
Film by more than fifty female directors, 1,000 delegates and around 200 guests participated in the film festival.
About 61 Malayalam films and more than 25 campus films were also filtered at the Festival.
While inaugurating the closing ceremony of the film festival, Minister of Finance KN Balagopal said that the film festival in Kerala provides a platform for differences of opinion and freedom of expression.
