Patna: Indian train and tourism catering corporation (IRCTC) will run a passenger train specifically for ‘Dakshin Bharat Yatra’ with Malikarjuna Jyotirlinga ‘Darshan’.
Special trains will come from Jaynagar in Janauary 29, 2022 and will charge Rs13,230 per person.
The duration of the tour will consist of 13 nights and 14 days.
According to Patna IRCTC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Rajesh Kumar, a special passenger train of pilgrims has dormitory points in Jaynagar, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Hajipur, Patna, Bakhtiarpur, Biharsharif, Rajgir, Style, Koderma and Dhanabad falling under East Jurisdiction Central Railway (ECR).
Pilgrims from Jharkhand and Bihar thus can easily ride special trains in one of these stations.
The train will bring pilgrims to historical places such as Rameshwram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Thiruvanthapuram, Malikarjuna and Jagannath Temple in Puri during the 14-day tour program.
It will return to Jaynagar on February 11.
The Covid protocol will be followed by every pilgrim during the trip.
IRCTC will provide breakfast and vegetarian food for pilgrims on the train.
In addition, the IRCTC will arrange special facilities, stay the night and provide security guards on the train, CPRO said adding IRCTC will also ensure the availability of masks, cleaners and escort to the pilgrims in each location.
The train has 750 beds bed, where more than 200 piers have been ordered so far.
In addition, the IRCTC has made a decision that it will provide Rs 400 concessions per person if a group of 10 people booked their travel tickets together.
Previously, IRCTC had brought pilgrims from Raxaul in Bihar and Dhanbad in Jharkhand to Vaishno Devi and Ujjain in November and December last year, said Pro.
