New Delhi: Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for a series of bomb attacks in Afghanistan targeting the Taliban, terror groups of the AMAAQ news agency on the telegram channel.
“More than 35 Taliban militia members were killed or injured in a series of explosions that occurred (on Saturday and Sunday),” said Al Arabiya quoted the agent.
The explosion targets Taliban vehicles in the city of Jalalabad, the center of Nangarhar Province, Bilal Karimi, the official Taliban Deputy Zabihullah Mujahid, confirmed to the Afghan news outlet on Sunday.
According to Tolo News, the explosion in Kabul on Saturday injured two people and two explosions in Nangarhar injured around 20 people.
The bomb blast at the heart-k Afghanistan killed two and injured up to 20 more in the first deadly attack since the US and England backed last month, the Daily Mail has reported.
Three explosions rocked the capital of East Province Jalalabad on Saturday in attack targeting Taliban vehicles.
Is-K claimed a bomb attack last month at Kabul airport which killed more than 170, including 13 US Marines.
Three injured in the explosion were civilians and 16 were Taliban fighters, some of which were in critical condition.
Also on Saturday the sticky bomb exploded in the capital Kabul, injuring two.
The target bomb is not immediately clear.
Taliban face economic and major security problems when they try to rule, and the growing challenges of the rebels will increasingly stretch their resources, the report said.
