Jerusalem: Syrian television reported Israeli strikes around Damascus on Wednesday and the Israeli military said a Syrian anti-aircraft missile was sacked towards Israel, triggered sirens and exploded in the air.
Warning in Northern Israel and the occupied parts of the West Bank coincide with reports on Syrian state TV that Syrian air defense has reduced a number of Israeli missiles over Damascus.
An Israeli military spokesman refused to comment on reports that Israel had carried out a missile attack.
“The launch of anti-aircraft missiles from the Syrian region of Israel was identified,” the Israeli military said on Twitter.
“The missile exploded in the air and did not need to intercept it.” Israel has raised an attack that often opposes what he says Iran’s target in Syria, where the Tehran-supported troops led by Hezbollah Lebanon have supported Bashar al-Assad’s president over the past few decades in the Syrian civil war.
