New Delhi: Israel said on Monday it would recognize foreigners with covid immunity suspected of being considered medium-risk countries next week, some reversing the ban imposed on the Omicron variant.
The Ministry of Health said that, on January 9, foreign travelers from 199 “orange” countries would be accepted if they could prove that they were vaccinated or recovered from Covid.
Orange registered nations include Australia, Italy and Ireland.
It is recommended that South Africa, Nigeria, Spain, Portugal, France, and Canada, are currently between 16 countries listed as “red” or high-risk, converted to “orange”.
The decision occurred when Israel began to provide the fourth vaccine shot to people over 60 and health staff.
