Milan: Italy reported 17 deaths related to Coronavirus on Friday against 15 days earlier, said the Ministry of Health, while the new infection daily calculation rose to 5,143 out of 5,057.
Italy has registered 127,937 deaths connected with Covid-19 since the plague appeared in February last year, the second highest victim in Europe after the UK and the eighth highest in the world.
This country has reported 4.3 million cases to date.
Patients at the hospital with Covid-19 – not included in intensive care – standing at 1.304 on Friday, up from 1,234 the day before.
There are 10 new reception to the intensive care unit, down from 12 on Thursday.
The total number of intensive care patients fell to 155 of the previous 158.
Some 237,635 tests for Covid-19 were carried out on the last day, compared to 219,778 before, the Ministry of Health said.
