Milan: Italy reported 24 deaths related to Coronavirus on Friday against 27 days earlier, the Ministry of Health said, while the daily calculation of new infections fell to 6,599 from 7,230.
Italy has registered 128,187 deaths related to Covid-19 since the plague appeared in February last year, the second highest victim in Europe after the UK and the highest in the world.
This country has reported 4.4 million cases to date.
Patients at the hospital with Covid-19 (not included in intensive care) reached 2,449 on Friday, up from 2,409 the day before.
There were 32 new acceptance to the intensive care unit, up from 25 on Thursday.
The total number of intensive care patients increased to 277 from the previous year.
About 244,657 tests for Covid-19 were carried out on the last day, compared to 212,227 before, the Ministry of Health said.
