MILAN: Italy reported 98 deaths related to Coronavirus on Monday against 66 days earlier, the Ministry of Health said, while the daily calculation of new infections fell to 12,712 from 19,215.
Italy has registered 134,929 deaths related to Covid-19 since its outbreak emerged in February last year, the second highest victim in Europe after the highest English and ninth in the world.
This country has reported 5.24 million cases to date.
Patients at the hospital with Covid-19 – not included in intensive care – stood at 6,951 on Monday, up from 6,697 the day before.
There are 60 new reception for intensive care units, up from 54 on Sundays.
The total number of intensive care patients increased to 856 from 829 before.
Some 313,536 tests for Covid-19 were carried out on the last day, compared to 501,815 before, the Ministry of Health said.
