Jaipur: Eight residents of Vaishali Nagar, a relative of someone who arrived from Germany on November 27 and was tested positive for Covid two days ago, had tested the positive virus on Wednesday.
The man returned by Germany was allegedly infected with the omicron variant of Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, three more people have contracted a virus in the Adarsh Nagar 14 family, who have reported five cases of Omicron’s variant confirmation.
Overall, Jaipur reported a significant surge in daily infection because of 25 people tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.
In two families, five are children, under 18 years old.
Three children were found infected with Covid-19 in the Vaishali Nagar family, while two were found infected with the Adarsh Nagar family.
“After someone’s arrival from Germany, who was tested positive for Covid-19 two days ago, we had collected samples from their families who lived in Vaishali Nagar.
Eight people have tested positive viruses,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Chief Medical Health Officer, Jaipur (i).
Apart from the family members Adarsh Nagar, a family of four people, relatives of Adarsh Nagar’s family, who have arrived from South Africa on November 25, has been tested positively for the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
So far, the country has reported nine omicron variant confirmation cases.
Throwing 11 cases reported by the Vaishali Nagar family and Adarsh Nagar on Wednesday are the Omicron variants, the Ministry of Health has decided to isolate them at a dedicated Covid-19 Ruhs Hospital.
Their sample will be sent for genome sequencing.
In addition, the Covid-19 case was rising throughout the state because 40 people were found infected with Covid-19 on Wednesday.
The overall calculation of the country has increased to 9.54,984.
There were no deaths reported, while the victims stood at 8,956.
The Ministry of Health to expand quarantine facilities: because the health department anticipates the increase in omicron variants from Covid-19 in the coming days, has decided to expand the facilities for institutional quarantine in the city.
Health Secretary Vaibhav Galriya has issued instructions to expand institutional quarantine facilities for cases of Omicron variants confirmed and suspected to Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (MGMCH).
At present, only a dedicated Covid Ruhs Hospital has facilities.
The hospital is also allowed to treat omicron patients.
MGMCH has been allowed to do sequencing genomes with motorists they have to have every day updating the genome sequencing report to SMS Medical College and the Integrated Disease Supervision Program.
