Jaipur: Residents of Jaleb Chowk have filed complaints with the Public Health and Community Engineering Office (PHED) on polluted water triggered by the Srisahay pharmacy for more than a week that has an impact on the lives of at least 500 people.
Munna Lal Sankhla, a regional resident, said dirty water with a foul odor is being provided.
“Eight days ago, in the morning we received dirty water.
We thought after a few minutes it would be normal, but never did it,” Saini said.
The next day, water is similar to a chocolate tinge provided in most houses.
Girda Sharma, another resident in the area, said for last week they faced a problem.
“First we have to get up in the morning to fill water and then this situation.” Many residents say they take water from the nearest area to meet their daily requirements and some even buy water tankers.
Manish Sharma, a resident of the region, said this was not a new problem and contaminated water was supplied to houses.
He said because the old pipeline network and severe population, the pipe will begin to leak and water will be mixed with sewerage water which causes problems.
