Jaipur: Police Vidhayak Puri on Friday arrested a 44-year-old woman for allegedly extorting a senior bank official with threatening to submit a rape case against her.
Sho Rajesh Gautam said that the police arrested the woman, who was identified as Seema Sharma aka Sapna, while he took Rs 1 lakh from the victim.
According to the police, bank officials have filed a complaint that the woman demanded Rs 20 Lakh and threatened to register a rape case against it.
The police suspected that the defendant was part of the gang that extorted people with threatening to involve them in the case of rape.
