Ranchi: Along with conventional membership recruitment mode, Congress State Unit launched a membership drive digital.
Parties aiming to recruit 15 new members lakh from statewide by the end of March.
On Monday, the State President Rajesh Thakur with his hard working team president held a meeting with all the local districts to notify them about the drive online.
Prakash Joshi, AICC officials to oversee the readiness of the party associated with elections in this country, was also present.
Thakur said that although they have launched their membership drive in November last year, was briefly interrupted by the third wave of pandemic Covid-19.
“However, the drive will be intensified now to achieve our targets in March-end,” he said.
Talking to TOI, Party spokesman Rakesh Sinha far as to say, they managed to make Lakh recruit new members and hope it will take steps to boost digital.
“The party has made the launch of the application software mobile new membership we are downloadable via PlayStore.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, all you need to do is punch in their details with identity cards that are relevant for registration.
Registration will be confirmed after the approval of the team back-end of our digital .
After the success of the registration application, a person can register 100 new members, “he said, adding that the token membership fee of Rs 5, however, to be paid through the offline mode.
He further said that they are preparing for the first team at booth collector, block and district level to oversee the membership drive digital.
“Head of the applicants will be specialized personnel to help solve any technical fault,” he said, stressing that the offline registration mode will also continue simultaneously.
Congress is currently in power with JMM and RJD.
In the 2019 assembly polls, the Grand Old Party won 16 seats and two more are added to Kitty after JVM-P (now defunct) MLAs Bandhu Tirkey and Pradeep Yadav joined.
Meanwhile, Congress MLA and state unit’s top brass have begun leaving for Delhi ahead of the scheduled meeting with the central leaders of the party, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday afternoon.
Jamtara Mla Irfan Ansari and Health Minister Banna Gupta has reached Delhi while others will reach on Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
