Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping called for an effort to “solve new land” in military equipment and weapons development for the People’s Liberation Army, the Chinese Armed Forces, according to a report from the official Xinhua Media on Tuesday.
XI, who is also chairman of the Chinese Military Commission (CMC), made a comment at a conference in Beijing, according to the report.
China’s strategic ability has been upgraded by “Leapfrog Development” in military equipment and weapons, Xi said.
Zhang Yuxia, Deputy Chairperson of the CMC, also said that China must pursue independence in technology and make encouragement “all out” to accelerate modernization and build the “world class” army, according to the report.
