Bengaluru: The Karnatakaka Department of Youth & Sports Empowering has signed an understanding letter with UNDP (UN Development Program) on Friday, as part of the ‘code-unnati’ state-level initiative with the aim of increasing access to entrepreneurship and opportunity work among young people, including women .
Lou signed before C n Ashwath Narayan, the Minister of Higher Education, and skills development.
The initiative involving UN volunteers (UNV) and supported by CSR SAP India’s strategy will be held in 4 districts Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Dakshina Kannada, and Raichuru to begin, the Minister said.
Lou intends to provide a platform for cooperation between UNDP and the Department of Youth & Sports Empowerment to ensure the implementation of shared activities in close coordination with state / district / university level NSS units, he said.
As part of this 50 universities including the Pre-University of the Government, Itis, Polytechnic, and College of Arts & Science have been identified to work with faculties and community communities.
They will work together in the field of training & capacity building, training in the 21st century & digital skills, entrepreneurial development, the challenges of innovation / boot campus, corporate volunteers, and the connected industry.
