Kalyan: Kalyan Branch Unit Branch of the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a woman and her daughter-in-law for stealing the women’s wallet by the train far on the central train line.
The woman, Rekha Kambu (46) and her daughter-in-law Roja Kambu (22) Hail from the Gulbarga District in Karnataka and currently they stay in the Sat-rasta area in Mumbai.
On December 11, both of them had taken the resident wallet Ulhasnagar Sangita Domade (42) containing valuables worth Rs 3 Lakh while taking Tapovan train on the number 4 platform in Kalyan.
In connection with this, the crime unit was led by Gajendra Patil and his team during an investigation was scanned through CCTV recordings installed at the Kalyan train station and focused on the two suspected women.
Ashad Shaikh’s fire said, “After focusing on the suspects, our team arrested the women from the Chinchpokali area in Mumbai.
During the investigation, we found that the two women did three violations at the Kalyan train station in the past year.” Shaikh further said, “In this recent case, we have restored RS 3 Lakh ornaments and in the remaining three cases, more than Rs 1 Lakh, with a total gold ornaments worth more than Rs 4.25 lakh from accused.”
