Udupi: Karkala City grieved the death of his son-in-law Colonel Colonel Harjinder Singh, who died in a tragic helicopter accident along with defense chiefs, General Bipin Rawat, Wife and other military personnel on Wednesday.
Karkala Town Municipal Council (TMC) member Shubhada Rao remembers that captain Agnes Mauzes, Putri Phillips Menezes and Mary Menezes from Salmara, visiting her house along with her husband Lth regularly.
Phillips Menezes, a social worker and politician, who served as Vice President Karkala Municipality, recently died.
Meanwhile, Mary Menezes is a housewife, he said.
“I visited their home on Thursday and Prafulla’s mother and sister,” said Rao, who happened to be the Batchmate’s Batch Maefulla in college.
“Really Prestala talked to his family by telephone after a poor accident confirmed.
He asked them to stay strong,” he added.
LT Col Singh married Captain Agnes Prafulla Menezes about 15 years ago, and the couple was blessed with a daughter.
Family members who were shocked, said they first heard news about accidents on television.
Chasing couples as a tough individual with a soft heart, they say that they never behave as officers when at home, and Harjinder loved by everyone.
“They used to visit the house regularly.
Every visit is unforgettable, and we also meet them in Rajasthan, Dehradun and other places,” he said.
“We don’t believe that we can’t talk to Harjinder anymore.
He came here about three years ago.
We look forward to seeing it soon.
This is a big loss for the nation and family,” said a family member of another family member who was crying, said That he could not sleep since the news broke.
