MySuru: Hotels in the country can now fill all available rooms between December 30 and January 2, according to the order issued by the state government.
However, there was no change in the application of 50% of the seating capacity for restaurants in the same period.
Meanwhile, Bandipur, Nagarahole and Kodagu witnessed a large flow of tourists for the new year, while the inflow has not taken it in Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru.
“We were allowed to fill 100% of rooms according to the revised guidelines,” said C Narayana Gowda, President of the Association of Mysuru District.
However, according to him, night hours affect the hotel sector, tourism and hospitality.
According to the revised order shared by the MySuru District Police, 50% of restrictions on seating in connection with the hotel only applies to hotel dining places.
There is no limit to occupancy rooms at the hotel.
Free hotel to operate room accommodation according to the approved capacity.
According to Gowda, orders are welcome and useful for hotels.
“However, the decision not to let celebrations after 10pm will affect business.
Fans moved to hotels in neighboring countries where there were noons at night,” he said.
BS Prashanth, President of Honourary of Mysuru Travels Association also echoed similar opinions.
“Confusion about celebrations, unwanted tourism activities.
In Mysuru, everyday cases have dropped to one digit.
Both cases of omicrons reported in the district come from abroad.
There is no reason in this kind of order,” he said.
Meanwhile, tourism bags, new year tourism activities carry a mixed bag for this sector in the old area of Mysuru.
Homestay and Resort in Bandipur and Nagarahole have watched nearly 100% booking says President Mysuru Travels Association Ca Jaya Kumar.
“The order is 100%,” he said.
The situation is different in Kodagu.
There are no rooms available at Homestay where this district is known.
“We don’t have our homestay rooms for the new year,” said President of the Homestay Coorg BG Ananthashayana Association.
However, in Shivamogga, December tourism continues to be boring.
“The arrival of tourists is not at the level we expected,” said Vikram R Udaya, Barecal Farmstay, Arodi, Hosanagar.
