Haveri: In a district that survives for doubts for the Covid-19 vaccine, 104 villages in Haveri have reached the first dose coverage of 100%.
The commendable achievements came behind the hard work of the authorities, who had to do several trips to the village to convince people to take shots.
By providing a supply of vaccines, district officials conducted a special vaccination camp and ‘weld lasika’ which returned to achieve that achievement.
The local body conducts a regular door-to-door campaign in these villages, which are mostly in the district rustic bags.
“We have reached 83% of the first dose coverage in all districts, and we will immediately vaccinate the eligible population,” said Dr.
Jayanand, reproductive child health workers and Nodal officers for Covid-19 vaccination.
“So far, almost 10 of the first 10 lats doses have been given and nearly three doses of the second lakh.
From this, 97,000 doses have been given in 104 of these villages.
We reached 100% the first dose coverage in the taluk and Aadeelan hirera (8,086 doses), hattimattor ( 5,804), Kadakol (3,444) and Hurulikoppi (3,326) in Savanur Taluk.
“He said the district gets enough dosage supplies every day and local authority plans to increase the number of sessions.
“Initially, people had to wait in a long queue due to lack of doses,” said an official.
“But now, the health staff gives the Jab on the doorstep, it becomes complexity.
In fact, as long as Lasika is welded, the authorities find it difficult to get eligible people.”
