Bengaluru: With the selection of assembly of 2023 in focus, the Head of the Head of Karnataka Baru Basavaraj Bommai is likely to choose five deputy ministers and appoint 6-8 new faces in his cabinet which can have a maximum of 34 members.

A senior BJP Privy official to discuss the formation of the cabinet said Deputy CMS would be selected from five main social groups – SCS, SCS, Vokaligas, Lingayats and OBC.
According to Senior BJP officials, the Lingayat-Brahmana Party will soon have the appeal of PAN-Hinduism for all communities because the party has struggled to cross the magical figure of 113 seats in the assembly poll since 2008.

He said one of the three cm aspirant – Arvind Bellad, Botanda Yatnal or Murugesh Nirani, which is included in the subsecs of the Community of Lingayat Pancayasali – can be made by Deputy CM.
“The party still sees three or five CMS representatives, and there is no decision,” said the former CM Govind Karjol representative, a frontrunner under the quota Dalit.
