MySuru / Medikya: condemned the removal of the portrait of BR Ambedkar from Dais during the Republican Day celebration in Raichur, Congress of the Congress of the Congress of President R Dhruvanarayana has held the state government responsible for the incident.
In a command issued in January 2020, the government has directed to display the portraits of Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi during the Republican Day celebration in all educational institutions.
However, the government has not explained to display the portraits of Ambedkar during the celebration by the District Administration and Court, he stated.
Dhruvanarayana demanded action against the main district and Judge Malikarjuna Gowda session, who allegedly issued a portrait before unfurling a national flag.
Meanwhile, Chamarajanagar MP V Srinivas Prasad demanded the government to perform a detailed probe into this matter.
On Saturday, he said he was hurt by this incident.
He condemned the insults of the Architect of the Indian Constitution by the District Judge “intentionally or accidentally”.
The Dalit organization held a protest on this problem at Mandya on Saturday.
The demonstrators, who gathered at the DC office, raised the slogan against Raichur Gowda District Judge.
“It is unimaginable to think that a district judge can eliminate the portrait of Dr.
Ambedkar whose contribution to framing the Indian Constitution is unmatched,” said the protesters.
The agitators also urged the government to take back citizenship of the judge who was wrong besides demanding him because of his actions.
