MANGALURU: Calling it a complete failure within the state and central authorities, former minister UT Khader contested why vaccines were first shipped to both Pakistan and Bangladesh if people of India weren’t granted the shots. “Why did the GoI not offer a nod to makers when 22 businesses are promoting vaccines around the world. Why did the Central authorities deny nod for businesses to manufacture vaccines ? Further, what is the motive behind sanctioning a nod just for Russian created Sputnik V? Why will there be no transparency? Where’s the Union health ministry, finance minister and ministry of civil and food supplies today? The BJP government should answer these concerns,” Khader told colleagues on Friday. The state and central authorities were habituated into a new low when participating in damage control steps to conserve the surface of BJP by levelling baseless allegations from Congress, he explained. On the payment package announced by the state authorities, Khader said the majority of the qualified portions of the society, notably those in the coastal regions that were deprived of advantages. In addition, he questioned the authorities for not announcing bundles for sailors, workers in the beedi businesses, cashew factories, houses and private excursions. Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee president and MLC K Harish Kumar contested the standards for the supply of compensation declared by the BS Yediyurappa authorities. He stated private school educators are in misery as a number of these haven’t been paid their wages. “Although the government has declared a package, it’s nothing to offer you. Don’t announce packs as a damage control measure to pay prime minister Narendra Modi’s failures,” he added.
