Karnataka: Girls donate a piggy bank savings of Rs 10,000 to treat poor

Mangaluru: Disha, a class III student of Vivekananda (Putture) school, has contributed her piggy bank savings to the hospital, so that the amount can be used for the treatment of poor patients.
Disha has saved almost 10,000 rs – his pocket money was collected over the past few years – in his piggy bank.
Moved by the fate of poor patients, who struggled to get treatment during a pandemic, Disha donated their savings.
He handed over the number to the Surgeon Dr.
M K Prasad Adarsha Hospital, Putture.
Dr.
Prasad told Stoi Disha was Princess Anila B, assistant manager (sales and marketing) from Janaushadhi Kendra, and Deepak Shetty from Putture.
“He wanted to celebrate his birthday at the hospital and donated the money he collected in his piggy bank, to treat the poor.
Incidentally, his birthday coincided with the doctor’s day on July 1.
What surprised us, he came to the hospital with a birthday cake, and Asked me to accept the savings.
He cut the cake and also handed the piggy bank.
This noble move makes the girl a role model for other children, “said Dr.
Prasad.
The seven-year-old girl did not spend the pocket money given by her parents and grandfather, Shridhar Bhandar, a famous Yakshagana artist.
‘Moved by the suffering of patients’ “Sad with the fate of poor patients who suffered during the Covid-19 crisis, he decided to issue his savings for a good purpose,” he said.
Disha said, “Because I don’t want a birthday celebration, I handed my piggy bank to the doctor.
That number can be used for the treatment of poor patients.”
