Haveri: In preparation for the third-19-19-19 wave that is possible, the ICU separate with 10 bed ventilators for children has been established at the Haveri District Hospital.
Over the past year, more than 1,000 children (under 15 years) in the district had been infected and two died.
With some experts who suggest the third wave will affect the children of the most, the district government has established a dedicated ward for children with 15 oxygenated beds.
Until now, serious infected children must depend on hospitals in neighboring districts such as Hubballi and Davanagere, but now 10 ventilator beds have been added, parents can breathe easily.
The district government has ordered 314 beds in hospitals and covid care centers throughout the district to treat children infected with Coronavirus.
Children complain symptoms such as difficulty breathing, losing appetite, skin rash and diarrhea will be treated at this hospital.
In special health camps recently, more than four lakh children are played.
“Under Cares PM funds, the drug logistics of Karnataka state and the warehousing community sent us 10 sophisticated ventilators,” said Dr.
Havanur, District Surgeon and a pediatrician.
“We will ensure oxygen high flow to the environment.
We have three pediatrics beside nurses, monitor them treated in the neighborhood.
One parent can live in a ward with his child.”
