Kolar: a group of local Hindu residents from Hanumanapalya in Srinasapur Srinivasapur on Saturday allegedly burning religious books reportedly distributed by members of the Christian community.
Even though the area was tense for some time, the police said there were no complaints registered with this incident.
Police said four people arrived in the area in a van and allegedly started distributing Christian books.
Seeing this, members of the Hindu community raise objections, claiming efforts were made to change people by distributing books.
They grabbed the books and burned it, police said.

The police warned both groups and let them go.
It comes only a day after a man with a machete entering a Catholic Church in the Bethobaavi, triggering panic in the community.
