Bengaluru: While the assembly selection is one and a half years, signs of MLA migration that will come from one political camp to another camp have begun to appear.
The three main parties in Karnataka reportedly identified unhappy legislators and considered the switch.
A senior Congress official explains the criteria: the party prefers to bind MLa rivals from the constituency where it is weak.
This step is complete only if MLA has a strong chance to be re-elected from the same constituency.
Former Chief Minister for BS Yediyurappa warned about the trend of party hopping at the BJP State Executive Meeting at Davanagere last week, said the KPCC President DK Shivakumar was associated with several BJP MLA.
“This is a general phenomenon in front of the Assembly and selection of Lok Sabha.
The party who seems to win will have more applications,” said a BJP official.
Janata Dal (secular) has repeatedly seen several mlalas leaving the assembly poll.
At present, at least four sitting and two former MLAS parties reportedly planned to move.
Even though they haven’t leaked anything, there is a strong indication that they will change the team.
The name JD Senior legislator from Chamundeshwari GT Deve Gowda is at the top of the list.
His relationship with the former Minister of HD Kumaraswamy deteriorated after the latter refused to give him his choice portfolio during the Congress-JD coalition government.
Gowda has held several rounds of meetings with senior Congress officials, including opposition leader Siddaramaiiah, whom he has defeated with a major margin in Chamundeshwari in 2018.
Gowda reportedly agreed to join the congress promised by the poll ticket promised.
Likewise, Gubbi Mla Srinivas and Kolar Mla K Srinivas Gowda was also said to knock on the door of Congress.
The talks in the political circles were that the Congress observed two other MLA from the old Mysuru region.
JD (s) has lost the former Minister of MC Managula, Ashok, to Congress.
Previously it was planned to put it in Sindgi to take advantage of sympathy factors related to Management’s death.
The former MLA from Navalgund NH Konaeddy was also reportedly comfortable for Congress.
“Some MLAs have distanced themselves from the party.
Efforts are also made to tear our candidates who runners-up in the 2018 election.
I am not worried.
We will find new candidates in such constituencies,” HD Kumaraswamy, Head of the Legislative Party JD (s), said after a party at Bidadi.
Some of the former BJP MLA, especially from the constituencies represented by 16 former Congress rebels who joined BJP, reportedly contacted Congress.
There is also speculation about BJP MLA from Soraba Kumara Bangarappa.
