Mangaluru: Karkala Mla V Sunil Kumar has collected more than 1,000 books within five days to be appointed as Minister of Chief Justice of the Bommai Cabinet.
Kumar, who is Minister of Energy, Kannada & Culture, has given an example by asking for his fans to carry a book, not a bouquet of flowers and bouquets.
Immediately after becoming a minister at the Chairman of the Bukavaraj Minister Bommai Cabinet, Kumar had posted on social media asking for party workers and fans not to hold a criminal program.
His request to honor him with books has received a broad appreciation of fans and his followers.
The Minister has received almost 1,000 books within five days.
He told the Toi that the books would be donated to the public library in Karkala.
“Immediately after becoming a minister, I asked people about my constituency not to bring bouquets of flowers and bouquets.
I told everyone that if you were very interested in offering me anything as a sign of pride, give me a Kannada book.
I will donate All the books I have received to our public library in Karkala, “Kumar said.
The Minister also asked his party workers and was in vain not to violate Covid-19 guidelines during his visit to the electoral district.
“I personally asked everyone in the electoral district not to cause the spread of Covid-19 by breaking the guidelines during my visit,” Minister said.
The Minister has a complete bookshelf at his ‘Vikasa’ home with Tomes about religion, nationality, Indian history and national leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The majority of party workers and good sympathizers, who won to congratulate the Minister, have brought books wrapped in gift paper.
Can be recalled here that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued direction to all countries in 2017 to stop using bouquets during the tour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India.
