Mangaluru: A 16-year-old boy was injured critically after his father opened fire in his office at the limit of the South Police Station Mangaluru on Tuesday.
His father Rajesh Prabhu is the owner of Vaishnavi Express Cargo Private Limited.
City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar who visited the place said that the incident occurred at the Cargo Express office located in a busy commercial area at the Morgan gate.
Rajesh has a licensed gun and leaves home with around 3:30 p.m., Shashi Kumar said.
In the incident, Sudhindra, his son and grade 10 students were injured.
The boy was treated at a private hospital.
The X-ray report shows that bullets have penetrated the head of about eight inches.
The overall investigation will reveal the exact cause for the incident, he said.
Introduction Investigation revealed that Chandru and Ashraf worked as a driver and cleaners in one of the luggage carrier vehicles had traveled and reportedly demanded Rs 4,000 as a wage.
When they began to shout before Prabhu’s wife, he called her husband and her son to the office.
The family is close to the office.
Prabhu’s son allegedly slapped the driver and cleanser after there was a commotion and then Prabhu allegedly issued a weapon and fired two rounds which had hit his son, the police said.
The case has been taken based on the company’s complaint manager and the FIR has been registered.
The FSL team has been called and the required investigation procedure is being taken.
