BENGALURU: Four workers from two training centres are detained by CID officials for allegedly conducting a police constable recruitment racket at the nation.
The group was able to charge Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh to organize an impersonator to look to get a candidate in physical and written assessments for recruitment constables from the country police force.
Bheemmappa Mahadeva Hulloli alias Bheemshi, Lakshmana Uddappa Bandi, Laxman Muthappa Parannavar along with Mallikarjun Yamunappa Babalannavar, that operate with Ekalavya training center and Darideepa training center in Gokak were recently detained on charges of conspiracy and impersonation of applicants in physical and written examinations to sponsor policemen.
The kingpin, recognized as Basavaraj Dundanahatti, is currently at large, authorities said.
The gang committed the fraud from the decision procedure of constables for civil authorities and other armed forces of this country in 2020.
Police discovered that in such exams some men had impersonated the initial applicants and attended the evaluations.
There have been 21 cases of impersonation enrolled in the country, such as 11 at Bengaluru alone.
All cases were moved to CID, Karnataka for additional investigation.
A group led by Sarah Fathima, superintendent of police, was assigned to look into the situation.
Based on CID resources, 61 detained individuals, such as five constables, were detained in such circumstances.
Authorities captured Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, two automobiles, 1 computer hard diskdrive, two pencil drives and eight cellular phones in the suspects.
