Bengaluru: Karnataka on Sunday recorded 8,425 fresh covid cases and 47 deaths each took a total burden and fatality to 38.96.158 and 39,347.
In his bulletin, the Ministry of Health said 19,800 people finished, took the total recovery amount to 37,58,997 while active cases reached 97,781.
Bengaluru urban districts alone contributed 3,822 fresh cases and 17 deaths today.
Other districts also saw fresh infections – Mysuru 582, Tumakuru 318, Hassan 276, Ballari 249, Manda 241 and Bellagavi 221.
There were deaths in 16 districts including seven in Ballari, five in Dakshina Kannada and three in Mysore.
There is no fatality in 15 districts.
The level of participation for that day was 6.51 percent and his death rate was 0.55 percent.
As many as 1,29.33 samples were tested in the country including 99,023 RT-PCR tests on Sunday, taking the cumulative number of specimens checked as far as 6.27 crores.
There were 33,634 inoculation carried out by taking total vaccination as far as 9.72 crores, the department was added.
