Mangaluru / Udupi: Most schools of surfing on the beach that remain closed during induced pandemic locking have continued their activities.

Rammohan Paranjape, partner, said the Surf Mantra School, almost 500 domestic tourists mostly from Metros visited school every week.
“Because of the extended weekend, many tourists have arrived who want to learn how to surf.
Because WFH for many of our customers, we have improved our settings by providing good internet facilities and temporary work stations,” he said.
Most surfing schools are flooded with requests with high demand for weekend bookings.
Tushar Pathiyan, Co-Founder, Surf Shaka Club, Udupi, said the surfing season generally began in September and ended in May for the west coast.
Since the hit pandemic, most schools remain closed.
However, this year it seems to be promising.
“We have received guests from Bhopal, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolhapur.
Entries are allowed only to get guests who are fully vaccinated or with a negative RT-PCR certificate that is no more than 72 hours.
Because we provide good Wi-Fi facilities, we noticed that Guests with WFH options that generally prefer to stay only during weekends now stay longer enjoyed the work from the beach.
