Mangaluru: Techie couple from bettampady in puture taluk, 60km from here, has changed chocolatiers during a pandemic.

Couples BalalasubrahManya P and Swathi K start Anuttama Pvt Ltd products during a pandemic.
A year ago, they began producing chocolate on a small scale using jaggery as a sweetener.
Their dark chocolate came with cocoa in the range of 62% -85%.
At present, they produce around 15 chocolate varieties.
As award for Tulunadu and to mark the company’s first warnings, they have come up with the ‘Bella-Tarai’ variety (Jaggery-Coconut in Tulu) – a jaggery bar mixed with coconut milk.
“We plant cocoa as plants between our farm.
Because of the market closure during a pandemic, we think of coming with something from ourselves,” Swathi said.
Both are electronic engineers and communication.
Swathi stopped working after becoming a mother, while her husband continued to work for a company in Bengaluru.
The couple began research on making agricultural chocolate-to-bar in April 2020.
“We can launch our own brand in August last year in our home.
At present, we produce 100kg of chocolate a month.
They are sent throughout the country through the E- platform Commerce.
We started making plain dark chocoes using Cocoa Nibs, Cocoa Butter and sugar.
Now, we have many varieties such as grilled almonds, cranberries, pineapple and infusion bars such as coconut milk, dates, milk A2 (Desi Cow), “the couple explained , “Our products are searched by black chocolate lovers.
There is no artificial taste, emulsifier and preservative use.
It’s just pure chocolate,” Swathi said.
The couple has taken the initiative to set trends using cocoa beans planted in Karnataka, especially in Dakshina Kannada.
“Most bar makers source nuts from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
We have decided to buy it from our garden and others here,” said Balalasubrahmanya.
