Mangaluru: After a surge in the Covid-19 case in Dakshina Kannada, Deputy Commissioner Dr.
KV Rajendra directed universities in this district not to do offline classes for undergraduate and postgraduate programs until September 15.
At the meeting held on Thursday, DC directed officials of the Collegiate Educational Department whose offline class was not permitted because this district had a 2.4% testing level of the test.
“We will hold an official meeting from the Collegiate Ministry of Education again if the level of participants reduced before September 15.
Decisions will be taken about starting offline classes only if the level of peposititivity is reduced.
The practical session for student science can be done in batches following all Covid-19 guidelines.
Meanwhile , classes for students from all schools must be done online, “said DC.
He insisted on all teaching and non-teaching staff in college to mandatory accept vaccines.
“The Collegiate Education Department must provide details of all staff who have not received the vaccine,” he said.
In students who face internet connectivity problems in rural areas, Rajendra said that alternative options including special settings to hold physical classes for them will be made.
