Mysuru: At least 129 students study at Nagapura Haadi High School in Hunsur Taluk Karnataka spent anxious moments on Thursday morning when a Tusker entered the campus around 9:45 a.m.
Tusker damaged a bicycle belonging to a teacher and a bicycle holder.
Tusker is inside the complex until 11:30 but then, go to the wooded area.
According to the school teacher Ramachandra Singamaranaahalli, Tusker entered the campus through the main gate.
“Even before daily prayer at school, this incident happened.
When students and teachers have seen Tusker in the village before arriving on campus, therefore they are alert and live in a safe place,” he told him.
Nagapura is located right outside Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.
In the video captured by villagers, students can look shouting and villagers ask students to go to safe places.
“I visited the school and reviewed the situation.
Tusker doesn’t damage anything but bicycle stands.
The principal has completed a report to the department,” Hunsur Beo Nagaraju said.
Meanwhile, a farmer was trampled on to death by an elephant herd in Kolavige Hunsur Taluk.
According to the Department of Forest official, the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m.
on Wednesday night.
According to the Ministry of Forestry Officer, the deceased has been identified as Rajesh, 50.
When he went to his agriculture at night, the elephant attacked.
He died in place, senior official.
Forestry department senior officials visited the place.
This herd of elephants entered the village of Viranaahosahalli forest officials.
