Varanasi: The launch of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor project is the realization of the Vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Lord Shiva’s residence.
The bond with the temple and varanasi goes longer back.
The connection starts long before it becomes PM and starts representing Varanasi in parliament.
Modi is a regular visitor to Baba Vishwanath and every trip triggered his desire to restore the majesty of the lost city.
This vision began to turn into reality when he put down the development plan and transformation of the holy city after becoming PM in 2014.
The leading project in the list of course was the Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor that connected Ganga with Kipi Vishwanath Temple.
One of the main objectives of the corridor is to facilitate pilgrims entry to the temple which, until now, interspersed by clogged roads and not neat roads from Ganga Ghats to the temple.
By remembering this, PM asked the architect to create a part that would meet the pilgrims with joy on the way to Kiil Kashi Vishwanath.
Not only PM Modi gave the initial briefing to the architect, but also provided constant inputs and insights for architectural design, including reviewing through the 3D project model.
His attention to details is reflected in his input to make areas accessible for different ones.
Modi also plays a proactive role in execution too.
He monitors the progress of the project even during Covid time through video conferencing.
It looks at the project settlement in a short time.
“Kashi doesn’t stop or get tired even in trouble,” PM said.
Modi’s vision also to ensure that while the properties of the proposed corridor are being removed, the existing heritage structure is also maintained.
In the future this future is useful when during the demolition of buildings, more than 40 ancient temples such as Shri Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple, Manadev Manadev Temple Manadev, Jay Vinayak Temple, Shri Kumbha Mahadev Temple was found, who had been anchored for years in Multi-Building Buildings along the way.
This is a ‘small’ temple; Each of them has a history back to several centuries.
This rediscovered temple will further enrich the heritage of noble city.
The re-discovery of this lost heritage is synchronized with the vision of PM and tireless efforts to cultural restoration by bringing back lost heritage, even from foreign land.
This recently symbolizes efforts to bring back the rare idol Maa Annapurna Devi from Canada, and install it at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
In addition to the DHAM KV project, Modi has changed varanasi with many welfare steps and improvement.
These include the Command Center and Integrated Control (ICC) for traffic and police management; Bhu Trauma Center; two cancer hospitals; IMS-BHU is enhanced to the level of AIIMS; Trade facilitation center for weavers, craftsmen and craftsmen; Clean drinking water supply; Manduadih train station is changed to a world class station
