‘KDEM – Beyond Bengaluru’ initiative to create jobs in Mangalore

Mangaluru: EV Ramana Reddy, Secretary of the Additional Head of the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, said the ‘Digital Economic Mission (KDEM)’ Karnataka (KDEM) – Beyond Bengaluru ‘initiative is a sign of sacrificing dividends from it, IT- service sector which supports along with work creations at Tier-2 Cities of Karnataka.
He spoke at virtual talks about the 2020-25 IT policy which was held as part of Perm – outside the Bengaluru initiative on Friday.
Reddy added that mangaluru with accessibility to ports, rails, and airports is a unique sales proposition in the state of Karnataka.
“Collaboration between academics and industry will trigger growth in the cluster and make it the second largest in it and BT in Karnataka,” he said.
BV Naidu, Chair of KDEM, said three Mysuru clusters, Mangaluru, and Hubballi will pioneer Beyond Bengaluru’s initiative by attracting global companies to build their offices and operate from these cities.
KDEM is a unique structure of the state government with a mission to bring industries outside Bengaluru through three clusters.
According to statements imagined for Mangaluru, three large companies, 30 medium and 120 medium which will be added in the next five years, he said.
Meena Nagraj, Director, IT and BT Department, gave talks about state IT policies, explaining the incentives in which employers can take advantage of the benefits of the country.
