T’puram: The country witnessed 2,995 positive cases of 49,065 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases detected, 2,570 people qualified for vaccination, 1,535 people have taken both doses, and 815 people have not taken a single dose.
With 11 deaths again in the last few days it was recorded as Covid death and 85 deaths added from the appeal received, the death toll of Covid in the country had risen to 44,503.
The current total active case is 30,639, where 8.2% of people are received in hospitals or other care centers.
At the same time, 4,160 patients have recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 2,827 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Contaction sources cannot be tracked for 140.
Thiruvananthapuram reported the number of highest cases – 613, followed by Ernakulam (522), Kozhikode (263), Kollalam (207), Thriseur (203), Kannur (185), Idukki (160), Pathanamthitta (147), Malappuram (131), Alappuzha (119), Palakkad (76), Kasaragod (68) and Wayanad (68).
There are a total of 1,40,333 people currently observing in various state districts, where 1.36,127 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 4,206 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, six wards in five local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
