Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 3,795 positive cases from 58,344 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases, 3,242 people qualified for vaccination, 1,897 had taken both doses and 1,005 had not even taken a single dose.
With 50 deaths again in the last few days it was recorded as Covid’s death and 195 deaths added from the appeal received, the dead victim had risen to the country to 42,824.
The current total active case is 38,583, where 8.1% of people are received in hospitals or other treatment centers.
At the same time, 4,308 patients have recovered from the disease.
Among new cases, 3,556 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Contact sources cannot be traced for 200.
Thiruvananthapuram reported the number of highest cases – 681 followed by Ernakulam (543), Thrissur (445), Kozhikode (413), Kollalam (310), Kannur (202)), Malappuram (192), Pathanamthitta (146), Alappuzha (139), Idukki (132), Palakkad (110), Wayanad (91) and Kasaragod (79).
There are a total of 1,61,939 people currently observing in various districts, where 1,57,425 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 4,514 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, 21 wards in 19 local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
On this ward, strict limitation locking has been implemented.
