Thiruvananthapuram: LDF obtained a marginal hand in the election held at 32 local body wards on Tuesday.
LDF, which has 16 seats before Bypoll, won 17 seats when the results were stated by the State Election Commission after the vote count on Wednesday.
UDF won 13 seats while BJP managed to get a chair.
UDF has 15 chairs sitting before Bypoll.
Among the four winning independent candidates, someone is supported by LDF, while UDF supports two.
While Congress lost their seat in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, and Kottayam, BJP lost his seat in Kollam.
UDF seizes one seat of each of the CPM and BJP.
BJP managed to beat the CPM at Vadakke Idaliparakkudi in Edamalakudy Panchayat in Idukki (seat seated) with a one-voice margin.
LDF won syllables in all regency Panchayat divisions in Alapapuzha, Palakkad and Kozhikode.
Bypoll needed in three wards after the selected member managed to armed assembly selection on LDF tickets.
Ananthu Vijayan won the Aroor division with a record margin of 10,063 votes.
Mla Daleema has represented the previous division.
In the Srekrishnapuram Division Palakkad Panchayat (represented by MLA K Premkumar), LDF K Seedharan candidate was won by 9,270 voice margins.
In the Nanmanda Division in Kozhikode Panchayat Rasiya Thottayi won a chair with a margin of 6,766 votes.
MLA K Jameela has represented the previous division and was claimed that voter deterioration was the reason for the decline in LDF election shares.
Jameela has won with a margin of 8,094 votes in the last LSGI election.
The percentage of voting slipped from 88 to 62.5 this time.
LDF maintained two seat sitting in pole in Vettudad Ward in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation and Gandhinagar in Kochi Corporation.
Candidate CPM C Rosario won the Vettukad Ward with a margin that was better than 1,490 votes.
Bindu Sivan, the widow of the former KK Sivan council member, defended the Gandhinagar division for LDF with a margin of 115 votes.
LDF retained all four-block panchayat seats in the election held in Idakkode in Chirayinkezhu, Division of Pothencode in Blok Pothayat, Azhikode Ward 10 in Thrissur Mathilakam Block Panchayat and Chungam Division in Palakkad.
UDF defended his two seat chairs at Bypoll to the Three City Division, namely the Chalampadam Division in Irinjalakuda and Ozhinjavalappu Ward in Kanhangad Municipals at the same time.
LDF maintains a sitting chair (Division 14) at Piravom Municipality.
LDF and UDF each have 13 seats on the council 27 members.
By maintaining a seat, LDF also maintains strength in the municipality.
In a distance of up to 20 Grama Panchayat, UDF won 11 seats and LDF won seven seats.
BJP won one.
