Thiruvananthapuram: The day after the investigation government in this case was related to the adoption of ‘forced’ from the former leader of SFI Anupama S baby Chandran, the director of women and the Ministry of Welfare TV Anupama called on the Secretary General of the State Council of Shiju Khan on Sunday.
He learned to justify the actions of the Board by denying the allegations raised by the mother.
Khan spent about 30 minutes in his office and at his exit told the media that there was no violation of the legal procedure in the adoption of the child concerned.
But, he refused to divulge details more quoting that this problem had moved to court and he had limitations in responding publicly.
“I was called as part of an investigation of the department in this matter,” he said, adding that he would give the board version at the next stage.
Meanwhile, Anupama’s parents, his sister, brother-in-law and two CPM workers, who were allegedly behind forced adoption, approached the additional session of the court seeking anticipatory guarantees.
The court asked the police to submit relevant documents on October 28, before considering their guarantee application.
Meanwhile, district family courts, on Monday, will hear arguments about the petition submitted by the authority of the adoption of the country who seek to remain a procedure for children’s adoption submitted for ‘adoption’ without the knowledge of his parents.
The agency filed a petition in this case on Saturday after the police registered the kidnapping case based on the complaint submitted by Anupama.
Last Monday, Peroorkada police registered a case after Anupama filed a complaint accusing his parents and several others forcibly took their babies because they were born out of wedlock.
The defendant included his parents Jayachandran and Smitha, his sister, brother-in-law and two CPM party workers.
Jayachandran is also a local CPM leader.
On Saturday, Police Peroorkada has conducted a raid at a private hospital in Kattakada, where Anupama gave birth to a baby, and KattaKada Grama Panchayat where the birth was registered.
They take relevant documents, including a baby birth certificate.
The investigative officer said there was no information that was not suitable about the documents confiscated from both places.
He said the baby born on October 19 2020 was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee on October 23.
The Child Welfare Committee issued a legally free adoption (LFA) certificate in February this year.
The police also said that when Anupama filed his first complaint in April, the police conducted a petition investigation without registering a case.
During the probe, Jayachandran produced an appropriate approval letter from Anupama who expressed his approval for the adoption of his baby.
Now, the police plan to contact the Central Adoption Resource Authority who is looking for details of couples who adopt the baby.
Meanwhile, Anupama and his colleague Ajith planned to submit a Corpus Habeas petition before the High Court to regain their child.
