ThiruvananThapuram: The CPM State Secretariat met on Friday knocked down his faith in the position of CM Pinarayi Vijayan on a controversial high-speed semi-speed project.
It also extended full support for PWD Minister Mohammed Riyas for taking an open attitude towards Nexus politicians.
Overcoming the media after the meeting, Secretary acting CPM A Vijayaraghavan told reporters that the minister’s chairman explained in detail the importance of the Silverline project.
“Pinarayi Vijayan clearly states all the details about the project in the Assembly.
He explained the reasons behind the project and the government’s prospects before the same thing in such a way that anyone could hardly save further doubts about the importance and need this project,” he said.
Vijayaraghavan also begged the opposition to release the ‘unrealistic concern’ of the project.
He said the accusations said by motivated and government critics would politically continue the project with public support.
“You might remember the opposition to the Gail Pipeline project.
There is a broad protest.
Now people are ready to give up property for development projects.
Now, they get higher compensation for their land and property.
People are given compensation Rs 4,000 / sq ft for their buildings While the cost of construction per square in the state is less than Rs 2,000.
There is no sincere public resistance, “Vijayaraghavan said.
Secretary of the Acting Party said those who opposed Silverline quoted the cost factor must understand that the benefits of the project would be felt in all fields of development.
“Someone should not judge the feasibility of infra public projects only in terms of income.
Development and investment that can be triggered is something that is phenomenal,” he said.
Vijayaraghavan said the PWD minister said there was nothing wrong with asking MLA not to meet him with the contractor who was responsible for working outside the limits of the Constitution of the MLAS concerned.
“What Riyas said was the LDF policy.
Things must be done without recommendations.
The ministers provide interests for problems raised by MLA.
The government has a policy on how the minister’s office must function.
CPM has an attitude on how the government and ministers must function,” he said.
The Secretariat expressed satisfaction for the progress of the life mission project.
The government, under the 100-day program, completed the work of 12,067 houses for homeless people.
At this level, the government will be able to complete the work of one lakh house in a year, he said.
Vijayaraghavan said 99% of the CPM branch committee meeting had ended; 35,179 branch meetings have been completed.
The local committee meeting will be held in the coming month.
Given Covid-19, CPM has replaced public meetings with virtual meetings.
Artistic, literary competition in connection with the party conference is now held on social media.
