Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has returned M Sivasarkar, IAS, again in the service revoking its suspension which lasted for one year and five months.
The suspension review committee has recommended the government to revoke the suspension of IAS officers, according to the rules of 3 (8) the Rules of the All India Services (Discipline and Appinge), 1969, based on the restored.
The committee observed that officers had been under suspension for about one year and five months, including the period of suspension for violations of service behavioral regulations, in connection with their role in pointing to the key accused of cases of gold smuggling, in Spacepark under the infrastructure of the State Information Technology Kerala Limited ( KSITL).
Sivasankar was originally placed under the suspension on July 16, 2020.
He was suspended from the service based on the report of the two members of the committee consisting of the main secretary and additional head secretary (finance), for the alleged key with the key was accused of cases of gold smuggling.
The state government has also initiated a disciplinary process against officers, which is currently waiting to be discarded.

The command revoking his suspension said that when the one-year expiration of his suspension, the state government had consulted with the continuation center of the suspension order, but there was no further decision that was communicated by the center in this matter.
The committee then decided not to recommend further suspension, and recommend the government to revoke its suspension, which is now accepted by the government.

Received in service, Sivasankar can continue service for another year, before he retired on January 31 next year.
