Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Wednesday recorded 5,038 new infections and 112 deaths, which took cooperatives to 51.67,063 and the toll road to 42,014.
With 4,039 more recovered from viruses since Tuesday, total recovery reached 50.95,263 and active cases reached 40,959, he said.
Of 112, 35 was recorded over the past few days and 77 was designated as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on the new central guidelines and the direction of the Supreme Court, said the release of the state government.

Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 773 new cases, followed by Ernakulam (764) and Kozhikode (615).
Of new cases, 53 are health workers, 17 from outside the country and 4,724 were infected through contact with the source were unclear at 244.
