Thiruvananthapuram: The effort to calm down the dissatisfied Congress leader V M Sudheeran continued with opposition leader V D Sathean visited him.
Secretary General AICC Tariq Anwar and KPCC K Sudhakaran President also tend to meet with senior party leaders to persuade him to attract resignation from PAC.
During the meeting, the opposition leader had with Sudheer, former KPCC president was studied to explain the problems and complaints he had with the current party leadership.
But he was firm in resignation and was not ready to reconsider, said the source.
After a discussion for about an hour with Sudheeer, Sathmesan said, “I did not come to ask him to attract resignation.
I am sure he won’t budge.
Even if ten Satheesans tried to persuade him, he would not return to his resignation.
I came here To apologize to him from the deviation on my side.
I have the freedom for this because I enjoy a relationship that is very close to him.
“There was a report that Sudheeran was annoyed by the way he was ruled out in a discussion about the restructuring of the Party Committee.
However, Kudhakanan said that Sudhelan was given many opportunities to comment during the discussion but he did not use it.
“I personally go to meet him when we know that he is upset.
PAC has met regularly to discuss policy decisions.
But every thing has not been discussed in PAC,” said Sudhakanan.
He said all decisions taken by party leadership were supported by party commandos.
All senior leaders are consulted every time a decision is taken and nothing is isolated at the party.
“I am ready to meet Sudheeran and hold a discussion.
The KPCC will urge Sudheeer to attract his resignation,” Sudhakanan said.
Meanwhile, some senior leaders call the resignation of Sudheeran from a unfortunate PAC.
Ramesh Chennithala said Sudheer must be there in the body of party policy making and he hopes that the current leadership will persuade him to attract his resignation.
UDF Convener M Hassan also said party leadership would discuss problems with Sudheeran and resolve the earliest.
