Thiruvananthapuram: As requested from the government of Kerala to help civil administration in disaster management in the affected areas of the flood, Indian Air Force and Indian Army – placed in this country – have mobilized their assets in Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta.
MI-17 helicopters and nests have been in standby mode to meet the requirements.
All bases under the South Air Command have been placed on high warnings considering the prevalent weather situation, said a statement issued from the Department of Defense.
